2025 was a meaningful year for Edge. Much of our work centered on improving the materials and tools that help builders and dealers do their best work. Our product updates were focused, intentional, and shaped by feedback from the field. Here’s a look at what came out of this sometimes unpredictable, yet rewarding year.
Above: ForgeWood in Tungsten
One of the most meaningful introductions this year was ForgeWood, our new line of thermally modified poplar siding. The product combines a hardwood species known for its natural stability with a precise modification process that improves performance in exterior environments. The result is a siding option that installs predictably, holds its shape through seasonal changes, and carries a 20-year limited warranty against rot and decay.
ForgeWood is available in 1x6 and 1x8 widths with end-matched lengths, which helps reduce waste and speed up installation. Pros have responded well to the balance of consistency and natural character, especially for projects that call for real wood without the unpredictability that often comes with it.
The line also includes five finishes that cover a broad range of design needs, all inspired by metal tones.
Home finished with EvoTrim™
EvoTrim continued to gain traction with builders who want the look of real wood along with advanced protection. The deep-penetrating treatment gives each board internal defense against rot, decay, and insects.
That reliability is a key reason the product earned a 2026 Good Housekeeping Home Reno Award. The recognition highlighted its performance and its best-in-class support.
One of the most notable builds that featured Edge products this year was The 808 Project. The design team selected thermally modified wood siding for its appearance and long-term stability. The result was a modern, high-performance home that shows how these materials can support current design directions with performant durability. The project also created a helpful reference point for pros who want to visualize a full-scale application of the product.
Timeless shiplap in Eventide
One of the clearest shifts heading into 2026 is the return of textured wall treatments. Designers and homeowners are leaning toward materials that introduce depth, natural warmth, and a sense of dimension. Wood paneling plays a central role in that shift because it creates visual interest without overwhelming a space.
Shiplap remains a reliable way to achieve this balance. It adds structure and character, and it works across a wide range of interior styles. The Timeless collection has always been designed with this versatility in mind, and the line now includes three new colors that reflect where design is headed.
The Timeless collection is available in three profile choices, each suited to different architectural styles and interior goals.
These profiles offer pros the flexibility to maintain design consistency across styles and spaces.
Edge invested in partnerships this year that strengthen support for dealers and pros.
Our expanded relationship with ABMDA opened access to new markets and helped align training and resources across their network.
Our collaboration with ProWood broadened distribution in the Northeast. Together, the partnership creates a smoother path for pros who are looking to source both structural and aesthetic materials from connected suppliers.
These efforts aim to make it easier for pros to specify products, plan their jobs, and keep projects moving.
Mockup of Edge’s new Visualizer tool
A redesigned Edge website launched this year with clearer product pages, quicker access to installation information, and easier navigation. The goal was simple: give pros what they need without slowing them down.
The Visualizer tool also received meaningful updates. More product lines, including ForgeWood and new Timeless colors, can now be previewed in real home environments. Pros can compare options, upload project images, and help homeowners make confident choices early in the process.
The progress made this year sets the stage for continued investments in materials, partnerships, and support tools. Everything we released in 2025 was designed to meet the high standards of the pros who build with our products. We appreciate the trust our network places in Edge and look forward to supporting new and exciting projects in the year ahead.
