What is mineral-based composite?
Mineral-based composite is an engineered composite material that combines minerals with another material binder. The exact composition varies by product and application.
What type of fasteners do I use for Arris?
Usage of galvanized stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant exterior fasteners is required. Fastener corrosion is not covered by the Arris warranty.
How do I finish Arris boards?
Arris is made with a white capstock that requires no finishing. However, if you would like to paint Arris boards a different color, preparation is required. Please refer to our installation guide for more information.
Do Arris boards expand and contract due to temperature changes?
Boards experience very minimal movement when in environments with wide temperature ranges. This allows them to be mitered and installed with very little gapping required.
How do you clean and maintain Arris trim?
Routine inspection and washing of Arris trim is essential to maintaining its appearance. Use a power washer or hose on the surface. If boards do not come clean, a mild household cleaner may be used with a medium nylon bristle brush. Is Arris protected by a warranty?
