Palm Grove Farmhouse

Stephanie Wilson is an interior design guru in Vero Beach, Florida, and we are so excited to share this collaboration project with you. Stephanie and her husband, Jason, are building a beautiful modern farmhouse on a picturesque landscape. Four years ago, the duo purchased 5.5 acres of wooded area in hopes of building their dream house. Finally, in fall 2019 they broke ground, and they hope to complete their home by spring 2020. With Jason's construction background and Stephanie's eye for design, this pair is creating a masterpiece worth documenting. Follow the Palm Grove Farmhouse project as we show you the UFP-Edge shiplap products Stephanie chooses to feature in her home, the build process, design elements, and more.

The Vision

Meet Stephanie

Stephanie Wilson is the face behind Palm Grove Farmhouse. With Stephanie’s eye for design and her husband Jason’s building knowledge, they’re working towards creating a home masterpiece.

The Beginning Plans

Stephanie and her husband had been dreaming of this house for years until they found the perfect location. As they were planning for their dream house, they had this render made up for what they envision it to look like upon finishing their build late spring 2020.

The Land

With 5.5 acres of wooded area, the Wilson's found the perfect, private spot for their dream house, full of lush greenery and wildlife.

Included on their property is this picturesque pond on which they built their own pool house.

The Build

The shiplap install has begun at Palm Grove Farmhouse. Shiplap is going in several different areas of their home including their great room, kitchen, foyer, master bedroom, and more.

Great Room

They first began installing shiplap in their Great Room. They started off by building beautiful square ceiling inlay frames to house the Charred Wood Ash Gray shiplap. The white framing with the contrast of the textured gray shiplap makes the ceiling really pop.

In their foyer area, they started with similar ceiling inlays as their Great Room for added consistency and style with the Charred Wood Ash Gray shiplap. The walls are dressed in 1x8 Timeless primed shiplap and will be painted white.

Stephanie's Top Tips To Obtain Your Dream Homesite

1. Location (Drive down your favorite areas looking for "for sale" signs)

2. Include in your search property with a tear down home. (The impact fees have been paid and power and water will be established.)

3. Include foreclosures in your search.

4. Be prepared financially! Things happen quick! We placed our bid and won 6 days later!

5. Spread the word you are searching for property! Contact a realtor and inform family and friends! We bought another property because Jason asked around!
